These are closeups of the sun from 7-14-18. Taken from my back yard in Gig Harbor WA. Taken with a Solarmax II 90mmClose up shot and a DMK41 camera. Enjoy!

You GOTTA show me how you do this!!! I just haven't come close. You know I have the equipment, just gotta figure out the technique. Good job!

Thanks Jim. I do think it is all in the camera we use. I think your going to get just as good of results with the new cam. I can't wait to see your new images, I know your going to do well..

It's hard to get to focus but even when I get there, I'm not able to draw out this kind of detail and resolution from the photo. That's part of why I ordered a new ZWO cam ... we'll see if that makes a difference. What are you using to process this and how are you adding color? I do my color through Levels adjustments...

I believe you will do images just like this when you get your new camera. I use a bunch of different tools from, levels, curves, color balance, brightness- contrast, unsharp mask and gaussian blur. I also like to invert the image some times. I think you'll have much better luck with the new cam Jim.. Thanks my man!!
